When your body has a hard time digesting certain foods, you might get bloated and gassy. This happens because proteins from the undigested food go into your bloodstream, causing your immune system to react and your intestines to become inflamed. This can lead to negative symptoms, and bloating and gas are common signs.
Think of it like a car engine having problems when you use bad fuel or oil. Similarly, if your body struggles with certain foods, it might not work well, causing bloating and gas, and possibly harming your digestive system.
The University of York conducted a survey** to help understand the benefits of elimination diets based on the results of a food intolerance test.
Out of 576 people who reported bloating as a primary symptom, 92% reported an improvement having removed their ‘trigger’ foods. We define these as foods which show a positive IgG reaction to antibodies in the blood.
Overall in the study, 76% of people who rigorously followed the recommended diet reported a benefit, 68% of which experienced this after 3 weeks. *
If you’re experiencing difficulty digesting foods and have symptoms such as BLOATING, IBS, headaches and unexplained weight gain you may have a food intolerance. As a Pro Athlete and a Nutritionist I want to ensure my body is always functioning optimally. I was experiencing the above symptoms with many of my meals this summer so I decided to try the Pinnertest food intolerance test. This test is the most advanced test available in which your blood sample is thoroughly analyzed for food specific (IgG) reactions by MicroArray+ Technology. It’s simple, involves no fasting and tests for over 200 food items.
Since getting my results I’ve altered my diet and within 10 days my symptoms have significantly improved. I wanted to share that I am very pleased with my results and would highly recommend this test to anyone who suspects they have a food intolerance. Those of you that know me know that I would never promote something that isn’t totally awesome. And this is awesome! Thanks Pinnertest!
Before I began practicing yoga I had very little understanding of what it actually meant to eat according to my body. I thought I ate healthy, counting calories and drinking protein shakes, but little did I know that there was more to it. Through my practice I could notice days of BLOATING, where in the past I would not have realized it had to do with what I was eating. I began to wonder what exactly my body was intolerant to, so I decided to try the Pinnertest to find out. It’s a simple blood test that you can do easily at home, then mail out to get your results. I had no idea my body was intolerant to rice, peanuts, and cabbage!
It’s much easier to eat according to my body now that I have a list of the foods I am not digesting well.
I grew up vegan (yes, really!) it was easy because my family knows how to cook and incorporate all of the proper nutrients. My grandparents have been vegan since December 1983 (yes, really!) But once I turned 16 and started eating dairy, processed foods, sugar and all the things that I never ate as a child, I have had a whirlwind of stomach issues. When I was 22 I started eating meat and that’s when it really went downhill. Half the things I eat leave me feeling sick and BLOATED with head fog and skin irritations, and worst of all I get horrible cystic acne whenever I eat the slightest amount of dairy. My digestive system is not anywhere near where it should be at 27 years of age. Well, there won’t be any more of that because I can finally pinpoint exactly what it is that my body is intolerant to and what I cannot digest properly. Super stoked to go back to my roots and begin eating healthy again! Go give Pinnertest a try.
I feel alive!! Since I took Pinnertest and found out my food intolerances ( and obviously, cut them out of my diet ), no headaches, BLOAT, mid-day slumps or breakouts. If you have a food intolerance, even healthy food can have terrible effects on your body. This test is the most accurate on the market and your results arrive in 10 days. It’s only been a few weeks since I’ve adapted my diet and I feel SO GOOD.
If you’ve been doing everything right and you’re still BLOATED or can’t lose weight then I have something for you!!!!!
“2024” is your year, and I’m here to help you every step of the way to feel your BEST but the first thing you need to do is find out what is effecting your body, everybody is different and you won’t know till you take the Pinnertest, mine is yeast, potatoes and onions and each one effects me slightly differently. It’s a game changer! Pinnertest is a at home food sensitivity test (not allergy) prick your finger, send the test in and they email you your results!!! It’s that easy.
I took the Pinnertest food intolerance test a while back and it has literally changed my life. Turns out I didn’t need to avoid gluten but some of the other additives found in a surprising amount of breads like SOY and SESAME. I also used to eat hummus like it was going outta style…fyi: tahini=sesame. I am no longer uncomfortable digesting food NOR am I constantly BLOATED!! Hallelujah
My excitement for this from Pinnertest is SOO real As you know I’ve been dealing with stomach issues forever. I have slowly been reintroducing foods that 5 months ago would have made me so sick. I’ve been working so hard these past few months to heal my gut using l-glutamine and lots of collagen. I’m still getting stomach aches every once in a while but I seem to have my IBS under control right now. I’m still getting lots of bloating so a food intolerance test is the next thing on my list. The Pinner Test is an at home food intolerance kit. NOT an allergy test. The test identifies which foods (they test 200 foods) are responding negatively to your system that could be causing a number of systems such as weight gain, acne, & BLOATING. It’s super convenient and easy to do. The test will ship to you, you prick your finger, and send in your blood! I’m hoping this will give me some answers as to what I’m sensitive too right now!
Finally got my Pinnertest results back! (It took about 3 weeks in total, from the time I posted my sample back). So it turns out I’m highly intolerant to egg yolk aka the best part of the egg! I also have an intolerance to sesame and mustard seed which I’m not to phased about because I don’t have a lot of either of these seeds and I haaaate mustard! Egg yolk on the other hand is going to be a tough one, but it will be interesting to see how my body reacts with cutting them out… lately I have been having at least 2-3 eggs per day and I have been getting really BLOATED but never really thought that it could be from eggs!
Life changing stuff here friends!!! Aside from my reverse dieting article which has been re-pinned well over 60K times, this new blog post is one of the most important I have ever written! Only 6-7 days in between these images AFTER taking a Pinnertest AND eliminating those foods that showed up on my results!!! Do you suffer from constant BLOATING, eating a meal and looking like you are 4 months pregnant? …
FLASHBACK FRIDAY to my best shape for the Swim Suit USA National Final. Only a few days until I get my blood test results back from Pinnertest! I’m extremely excited as receiving the test results means I will finally determine what my food intolerances are. Being in the modelling field and knowing this is of importance to me, as food intolerances cause a range of problems including weight gain, tiredness, aches and BLOATING – even if you’re eating the right kinds of healthy foods – if you are intolerant to them they can affect your body. Eliminating these permanent intolerances will not only make me feel better and settle my mind but allow me to focus on my goals! Thanks so much Pinnertest!
After removing the food items that the test found I was intolerant to I dropped 5 pounds!!! This happened in just 2 days! Crazy right?! This wasn’t weight loss from fat but from BLOAT or inflammation the foods were causing.
I recommend all athletes or coaches to use. I deal with a handful of clients on a daily basis and I must hear it at least once a day coach it’s weird I’m feeling bloated today or not feeling good. My first question is did you change anything that we normally do or for women do you have your period lol. It’s usually one or the other. Most commonly even myself I have a bad tolerance to certain food or gluten now with the Pinnertest I can see for myself or for clients what is making you sick or giving you the BLOAT. You be surprised sometimes even the healthiest thing can affect you.
I’m excited to eliminate those four things from my diet and see what happens! I’ve eliminated a lot of gluten and have noticed less headaches and BLOATING, already. This is the best thing ever! And so easy!
This is an AMAZING Food Intolerance test!! … Food intolerance is so important to know about! Your body may be intolerant to healthy foods and you think your being good eating them! They will make you BLOATED, sick and fatigued! However, I’m so sad that one of my food intolerances is garlic but super happy to now know!
So I’ve been feeling really BLOATED & gross lately, having breakouts and just all around feeling pretty sick. I told my husband a couple weeks ago that I was going to start eliminating foods out of my diet to see what was causing the problem. Like a gift from God, the next day I found out about Pinner Test. Pinner Test is a food intolerance test test that can help you discover what foods are making you sick or even overweight! I follow a lot of people on IG that have taken the test and are so happy and relieved that they now know what is making them feel so yucky.
This one goes out to Pinnertest because their test helped me figure out that I can’t handle gluten/wheat. After being strictly gluten-free for a month I tried eating some bread & look what happened! I was so uncomfortable that BLOATED & couldn’t believe I’d been living eating the stuff that does this to me for so long!
A food intolerance is different from an allergy. It means that our body lacks the enzymes to digest those certain foods. So if you’re unknowingly consuming foods that your body is intolerant to, this could be the reason behind digestive problems, BLOATING, skin problems, etc, and makes it difficult to lose weight! Fitness isn’t just about how we look on the outside. It’s about keeping our body’s healthy from the inside out.
Do you want to know if you have any food intolerances?! Food intolerance can occur when our bodies can’t properly digest and convert certain foods we eat into necessary nutrients that fuel our system and can result in fatigue, migraines, headache, BLOATING, weight gain, skin rash and the list goes on!!
I couldn’t be more thankful to have partnered with Pinnertest to test for my food intolerances and figure out which foods I should eliminate from my diet! The test was beyond easy and took me less than 5 minutes from home.
Food sensitivity occurs when the body can’t completely digest a particular food and the proteins of this food enter the bloodstream undissolved and cause an immune system reaction.
The immune system recognizes amino acids, uses them and does not respond to them. In a healthy metabolism, the proteins are extracted to amino acids. However, due to enzyme deficiencies or other health-related issues, if the protein enters the bloodstream undissolved, the body thinks these proteins are invaders attacking the body, and the immune system fights the attacking proteins by producing IgG antibodies. This process often results in inflammation that can cause many different types of negative symptoms.
When you do not know the foods that you are sensitive to and keep on processing them, the metabolism enters a vicious circle. The more inflammation causes more proteins to enter and the more proteins enter, the more inflammation occurs.,The only way to get out of this vicious circle is by identifying the foods that are poorly digested and then eliminating them from your diet.
Weight Gain – Food Sensitivity can cause the metabolism to slow down which may cause serotonin deficiencies that lead to carb and sugar cravings.
Tiredness or Chronic Fatigue – Food Sensitivity, inflammation, and increased CRP levels may result in fatigue.
Migraine and Aches – Inflammation due to food sensitivity causes many discomforts such as aches and migraine.
Bloating and Edema – Inflamed stomach is one of the main reasons for bloating and edema.
Joint Pain – Food sensitivity can be contributing to arthritis symptoms or general joint pain due to an increased level of IgG antibodies irritating joint tissues.
IBS – Irritable Bowel Syndrome – There are medical studies that show the direct relationship between IBS and food sensitivity.
Skin Problems – Food sensitivity may contribute to skin problems such as acne and eczema
